Bed Wetting Products
This is an embarrassing subject for the person that
has problems with bed wetting. There are protection solutions on
the market for your mattress. The basic product
is a vinyl zipper style or fitted style mattress cover. Effective,
easy to clean and inexpensive. Also hot and noisy to sleep
on. The zippered style takes 2 people to put on the mattress, plan
on leaving it there once you finally get it on the mattress. The
fitted style is the better choice, it is effective and easy to get on
and off the mattress. If you opt for this choice, please open it
up and let it air out for at least 24 hours before it is used to sleep
on, vinyl has an odor when it first comes out of the packaging. A
step up product for the occasional accident is a typical quilted top
waterproof mattress pad. The quilt top provides comfort and some
air circulation between the person and the vinyl. I recommend that
the waterproof backing be made vinyl. This product is typically of
a fitted style construction, easy on and easy off. Many are
available with anti microbial protection, an added benefit and well
worth the small additional cost. Another type of
waterproof quilted top mattress pad has a laminated polyurethane
backing. I do not recommend this type of construction, it is prone
to leak. Due to the laminate being on the inside of the product,
you can not see pinholes in the backing. There
are many new mattress protection products coming on the market that will
offer greater protection and comfort in the near future.
